Posted in: StCharles-Lodo
our group has been asked by the City-sponsored Lodo Events Committee - do the residents like or dislike events such as the New Year's Eve ball drop at Union Station (sponsored by radio station)? The vote at our Feb 24th Annual Meeting was about 50-50. Pls post your thots!

"NO" on New Years ball drop

Having experienced the recent New Years activities first hand, I can easily conclude that the type of event that was held next to the RR station does not fit with our LoDo neighborhood. The observed results of the past event included many people on the streets drinking from their champagne bottles, drunks lying on the sidewalks, vomit in many unpleasant places, broken glass in large volumns, generally disorderly conduct, sexual acts in the streets, etc., etc. I vote "NO" on future New Years open-air events in LoDo.
