Mayfair Park needs structures to

Posted in: Mayfair
Hello. I think that Mayfair Park needs structures to provide shade. I've seen picnic table structures at other parks that seem to not be too unsightly and serve the purpose. I was out there the other day with my infant, and we couldn't hide from the sun, other than to sit in the sand under the playground structure itself.

I agree...

Maybe the city could build some wooden roof styled frames (don't know what you call these things exactly) over some picnic tables. This way parents could watch their children play and have a nice picnic in the park...and not just parents, anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful summer weather outside, without having to deal with the glare of the sun!

Contact Polly Floebeck

Thanks for the input on structures at Mayfair Park. The board meets with Polly Floebeck bi monthly and I will bring this issue up with her at that time. However please feel free to contact her office and let her know of the need for this type of facility. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Mayfair Board Meeting

This item was addressed at the June Board Meeting for Mayfair. I will contact Polly's office as well as the park planner to find out how to get the ball rolling on such a structure. The original plan called for a "gazebo" type structure on the North West corner. We still need your help in this effort so please write , call or e-mail Polly's office.
We also need some volunteers to head up a committe if needed so if any of you are interested please let me know.
Thanks
