CVS, a national retailer, is taking steps to move into Minneapolis. They have proposed a location on the SE corner of 37th and Central Avenue NE (currently Budget Motel). Because of their plan to have the building and entrance set back from Central Avenue, with parking closest to Central, CVS?’ proposal has met with some criticism for not conforming to the City?’s Central Avenue MainStreet Plan. CVS has also drawn considerable criticism in a proposed development in St. Paul?’s Midway area because of their unwillingness to change their design to fit the communities needs.
