Traffic increase

This message comes with plenty of venom.

At 7:30 this morning after voting, I returned back down Magnolia Blossom/Forest Edge Drive driving by my residence. The posted speed limit is 25 MPH so I drove my normal 25-30 MPH. A driver turend left from Sunbury and tailgated me for a while until he decided to pass me. I followed at a distance as I saw the driver turn left on 161.

I believe the new light at Sunbury (which I am glad to have in place) has caused an increase in our ''cut through'' traffic.

What steps must I take as a concerned resident to slow these drivers down? I have already sent a letter to the City of Columbus (after a two month wait, the response was to contact the police and let them know the times for the violations). Who do I contact? What are our chances of having speed bumps similar to the ones in the Tamarack Circle area?

I would like to see a curtailing of this problem as my concern is truly for the number of kids I see using the sidewalks up and down Magnolia Blossom and Forest Edge Drive.

traffic speed

Outside of calling the police and complaining about the speed the only thing I have found to do is drive 25 MPH and let them tailgate and if there are quite a few cars behind me, drive the full length from Sunbury to Strawberry Farms Blvd. @ 25 MPH and hang a left and circle back home.
