When I moved to Strawberry Farms 3 Years ago I was told this was a very low crime area, is anyone else experiencing any Theft and or Vandelism of their cars or property? or is it just at my house?
2 cars vandelized and one vehicle stolen(of which has yet to be found, it was stolen Jan. 13th, 2002) and my neighbor next to me had a vehicle vandelized and Stereo equipment stolen.
Just curious, I know the police are busy and we have no street lighting, I installed a security light on the side of my house and they still broke into my neighbors car.

John,
Our community does have an extremely low crime rate. However, that is not to say that we do not have some bad experiences as I am saddened to see you have experienced. I routinely drive throughout our neighborhood, different hours during the day. I have walked through our park as late as 1:30AM and chase teenagers and YOUNGER out of there. I notice garage doors being left open well after dark. All these circumstances attribute to easy prey to the elements that induce crime. I wish I could wave a magic wand over the entire area and make it all go away, but until, and unless our entire community bands together to help curb this behavior, them acts such as you and others have fell victim to will not deminish, just flourish until it gets checked. I am looking for volunteers to start back our crime watch program, that would help. Also, call the police and file a report! At our monthly meetings, I have told those in attendance over and over again, that calling the police is not the answer, you have to call them and FILE A REPORT. By filing the report, it goes into statisical data that may alter the police routes and give more exposure to our area.
I hope this helps you.

Yes I have as well

This used to be a calm and quiet place to live. Recently, the past few years, it has become a nightmare. People are rude as well as the children, trespassing on property that they do not even own or rent. Police is nowhere to be found. I am sorry for your mishap. I guess with all they kids wondering around and no parents to be found, this will eventually become an epidemic!!!!!!!!
