A Statement

>>I believe Valleyview is better now than it has been in the last 15 years.

Frankly, Mr. Parrish, I resent the implications contained in this statement.

Andy
Consider the Source

Andy, Paul Parrish and Tom Watkins are an opportunists.

I don't think you know either one of them very well. They didn't start coming to meetings until they had gotten together, with as they stated on this site, OUR PLAN.

If you had still been in Valleyview, Watkins would not be mayor and some of the police would not be there.

You notice how Parrish, a lot of the time, says '' I '' when stating how things are working now. He wants to control everything. Watkins is, as his ex-employer said, ''In it for what he can get.'' To me that is a scary thought.
People Should Speak up !!

The parents of the girls who were asked for phone numbers are long time residents of Valleyviews. The officer in question was married.

I think the one you spoke of about child support has been married about a half dozen times. Probably not married long enough at one time to have very many children. He is almost as young as my oldest grandaughter.

I don't know why the one who sat in the cruiser, while the officers went into the strip club onSouth HighStreet, will not speak up. The officers laughed and said, you won't be getting any of this for awhile.

I think someone should put and ad in the Messenger and ask anyone who has had a problem with Valleyview police to come to a meeting. Take statements. If they knew the people were behind them maybe you could get rid of the ''riff raff'' in Valleyview authority that the police call people in other areas and some of the residents of Valleyview. This was also said at a meeting. The police and the mayor and some of the council have very low opinions of anyone who complains against them.

They will libel and threaten you.

The only way you will get a respectable Village is to get rid of the causes. The real causes are still there.

Over All

Andy,

I apoligize if you feel that I have offended you. But, overall the Village Administration is working better now than it has in the last 15 years in my opinion.

Different parts are not as good as some were in the past, but if everything is taken into account I believe the Village is doing better.

I believe that the Police Department was functioning better in the past than it has been in the last four years but it is slowly being rebuilt and having to deal with the consequences of the decisions made by some of the former administrations.

I believe that the Council is functioning better and that they are taking the active role that they should have in the past. If they had been doing their jobs some of the problems this Village faced could have been avoided.

The Finances of the Village are MUCH better than they have been in a long time. They are watched more closely and managed much better. While the Village was able to function in the past there was problems that ended up bubbling over in 2001 in causing the financial troubles of the Village.

When taking everything in to consideration I believe that the Village is a better place now than in the most recent past and over the last 15 years.

I hope that in 15 years future Village Administrations will be striving to make Valleyview better than it is now.

I apoligize if the general statement that I made offended you. I made a general statement concerning the overall situation in the Village and focused on the Village Administration. It was not directed towards one single department or branch of the government.
