Councilman Shaw Resigns

Posted in: Village Of Valleyview
OOPS !!!

I guess I should have said file charges instead of a grievence.

You seem to forget that I did file against Raylene. It was the rest of council, encluding yourself, who refused to stand by me but complained at meetings about her.

I now all to weel there are legal means to correct wrongs. You and the others refused to use them against Russollio.

I will answer AGAIN Pomeroy's statements against me. It didn't sink in to you the last time. All you have to do is check the Village records of payments to them. Why did the Village pay twice for some invoices already paid by OPWC?

I Did Not Forget

Ms. White,

I did not forget, I wrote:

''Only once did you take action when you filed charges against Raylene.''

I acknowledged that you took action. What I did not agree with and did not support was your list of ''charges''. You had residents sign a petition to file charges and THEN AFTER THEY SIGNED added to the petition. That would seem to be wrong in some form or other. I also did not support the majority of your ''charges'' because I did not feel that Raylene was solely responsible for some of those ''charges''. Yes I complained about what you, the former Mayor and the others on Council were trying to do. I worked within the system that was available to me to make changes and correct the problems from the past.

You presented your ''facts'' on Mr. Hellwege. I checked on them and even provided you with the information so that you could verify them yourself. You refuse to apoligize or acknowledge that you were wrong and then move on to some other point. It would be respectful of you to accept that you may have misconstrued some information and apoligize for making some of the claims that you have.

I believe that you have copies of the records of the invoices to Pomeroy that you claim have been paid twice. I have never seen them and you have never shared them with me. If the Village did pay twice for the same invoices there would seem to be a mistake. Without seeing them I cannot comment definately on them. Where was the oversight by Council at the time? They have to approve the payment of the invoices. Why did the Council at that time not review the invoices to prevent what you are claiming from happening? You cannot only blame the former Mayor, there would seem to be others that may be at fault.

If you have copies of those records and would like to provide me with a copy Ms. White I would gladly place them on the site for ALL to see. Feel free to put them in the mail. Once I receive them I will put them on the website. I will not go and hunt down these invoices not knowing where to begin looking. What were the dates? What are the invoice numbers? These are all things that should be in your records.
All True

Narcus stated to me that the charges against Raylene were true. He denied this at a council meeting. I called him a liar.

The judge said if others had backed me up, Raylene would have been charged and stand trial. You and the others refused to do it.

Why go on with this with you when you won't admit your part in covering for Raylene? You did the same thing with the insurance fraud and accepted the check. Then said the money was not there to do the work. Is the work done?

If It Was Fair

Ms. White I did not support your methods when you file your ''charges'' against Raylene.

I believe that you had one or two valid ''charges'', but the others I felt someone else was at fault or you did not charge everyone that was at fault. It was unfair to single Raylene out when others were at fault as well, including yourself in my opinion.

As you say, Raylene may have stood trial, but that does not mean that she would have been convicted. Plus, in my humble opinion the ''charges'' most likely would have been thrown out after the Judge learned that you had altered the petition AFTER residents had signed it. Again, in my opinion I believe that you committed fraud.

I did not cover for Raylene. Information was given to the proper authorities. They failed to act. I provided information to the Ohio Ethics Commission concerning Raylene and yourself. I cannot make them take action I can only provide them the facts. They found wrong doing, but again it would have been up to the County Prosecutor to take action and sadly, that did not happen.

Your claim of insurance fraud was investigated by the State Department of Insurance and they did not find any wrong doing. Why continue to make this false claim. It was investigated and nothing was found.

The Village did receive a check and the work has been completed to the best of my knowledge.
