If you have any city code violations you need to report, you can do it right on the internet. Of course, you can always call them in too. When I was researching, I found the form to report violations. It's very easy, just fill in the blanks.

1. From our home page (under local government) click-on ''City of Columbus Website''.

2. Under ''For Business'' click-on ''City Forms''.

3. Under ''Dept of Development'' click-on ''Report Code Violations''.

Then on the form just fill-in the information and send.

A reminder on code issues.....

We've mentioned city code issues in the flyers/newsletters. Just as a reminder, here are some examples of possible code violations: blocked sidewalks, (cars and basketball hoop stands, tree limbs, bicycles); cars not being moved that are parked on the street, (72hrs is as long as a car can remain on the street); rodent infested vacant/occupied homes; any car in driveways not being used, (expired tags, flat tire, car on a jack for repair) plus many other issues.
The Code Enforcement is very good to respond, and if they find a violation, they will revisit the address reported as a follow-up to make sure the issue was resolved.
If the issue is not resolved, Code Enforcement can prosecute that individual themselves.
