Boat in the front yard

Posted in: Big Bear Farms
I want your opinion on this.

Does anyone feel there is anything wrong with displaying a rowboat for-sale in your front yard on two sawhorses? At first I was taken back that anyone would do this for more than a weekend but now I wonder the longer-term consequences. After passing it a few days ago, the shock has seemed to pass. I just wonder where to draw the line if this form of selling catches on in the neighborhood? I have two old sinks and a counter top that I?’ve been holding onto. Could I display it? Is there a difference? Is it ok if it?’s displayed just on the weekends?
reply to the boat

I would call this a ''patsy boat'' at best. Something you buy when you are not sure if you want to fish, or just float along. If this guy used this boat, well lets just say I'll bet he only had one lure and a pole. Maybe we will see him on the pond sitting in the boat flying a for sale sign?

I agree it should not be there for more than one day, if they had a garage sale or something. I also have some good junk I could leave in my yard.

If your sinks and counter tops are in good shape you can donate them to the Delaware County Habitat for Humanities, and take a tax credit.

It should go, if it has not already.
I guess this guy is trying to keep up with the neighbors accross the street.

Does Donnie Baker live there?

The sad part is, when we first moved into this neighborhood, our 20' brand new ski boat sat in our driveway for one week until we could find a place to store it and some yahoo reported us to Liberty Township and we had 48 hours to move it.
