On another post I read about ''M/I's promise to finish sidewalks in our neighborhood''. Is that an accurate statement by M/I ? I would love to see the sidewalks continue in our neighborhood. It is ridiculous how they start and then just stop out of the blue. What can we do about this ?

Re: sidewalks
This was checked into a couple of years ago and M/I said that this is the way the developement was designed. I'm not happy about it either. You might want to check with Liberty Twsp. Zoning, maybe they can give you a better answer.
Do you realize ,because of a lack of sidewalks, some parents are recieving money from the school district, in order to take their child to school, rather than to let them walk a few feet in the street?

How do you go about getting reimbursed for driving your child to school ? That is something I do

Sidewalk issue
I agree sidewalks are good in some situations. Taking walks etc.., but good in the winter? How many people in this subdivision manage the sidewalks in the winter when it snows? It is the responsibility of the homeowner to clean the walks of snow. Do they? Can you walk on sidewalks in BBF after a snow? If I was to have a sidewalk in front of my house and did not clear it and someone fell and was injured am I liable? I believe I am.
If you want a sidewalk you had better live up to your civic responsibility to make sure it is safe to walk on.
At this point there aren't too many places where sidewalks just end. I am not sure as to the commitment by MI. I don't want a sidewalk in front of my house as it may increase my liability if it is not maintained. There are many subdivisions in Liberty Township that don't have sidewalks.
