re Columbus Messenger, 13 Sept. o4
I would like to hear from anyone who is AGAINST the rezoning of the area of Whitethorne and Eakin Rd. from commercial to residential.
This will be a disaster for our area unless major changes are made to accomodate the added traffic. I am also concerned about property value dropping as a result of the proposed complex.
The article states ''this will be a boon to the area'' and another quote states ''land is currently zoned for manufacturing use, which could potentially bring undesirable development to the area''.....last time I checked, manufacturing companies brought jobs.
THE CITY SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE HOMEOWNERS ALREADY LIVING HERE.
1. SNOW REMOVAL (or lack of). Midland Ave almost never gets any snow removal or salt treatment.
2. TRAFFIC CONTROL. We already need a traffic light but according to the city, we don't need one. (THEY DON'T LIVE HERE DO THEY)
3. MIDLAND AVE. and EAKIN RD. Why does the little dead end street Eakin Rd. N. have the right of way to Midland Ave.
I really want to hear from people. I will be at the next meeting and strongly encourage as many people as possible to attend. STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
Thanks
