I wish that some neighbors would take into consideration that sometimes people have personel things going on in thier life, or may need help. Instead of talking to thier neighbors about something they feel is a problem, they jump right to reporting them to new castle county. I myself have had them called on me several times in the last year. I grew up here, and had just came back last year when my father fell ill, and then passed on. So there were a lot of things going on between the death of my father, moving our old house into this one, and starting a construction project to improve my home. During all of this I was pregnant and mourning my father, and not one person said, sorry about your loss, or do you need any help. Now me and my husband are the kind of people that would help someone without them even asking. but did any of our neighbors, NO all i got was letter after letter, from new castle county. It seemed everytime i tried to take a step forward, i felt as though i was thrown back two steps. I just wish if someone had a problem, why you couldn't just knock on my door, and tell me, and then you might of understood. I mean I even got harrasment on things that weren't a violation. So I just think if there was a little more communication between neighbors, people might not be so cold sholdered to others. I grew up in this neighborhood as a child, and had never seen anything like this before. I sure hope the good part of rutherford i knew as a child where your neighbors new you and respected you, comes back some day, because i'm here for the long run.
