I attended my first Del Mar Parkway Neighborhood Association meeting this week and was excited to learn that a gentleman on the board is soliciting grant money to be used for several projects that will impact our community in a positive and highly visible way. The first on the list:

Community Gardens / Greens - provide a number of remarkable benefits at the individual and local level which can facilitate the building of a strong community as neighbors enjoy, manage and protect their shared spaces. Unites the neighborhood visually and provides opportunities for intergenrational and cross-cultural connections.

I urge all to attend the next meeting (March 16th @ 6:30pm at the school located at 13th / Del Mar Pkwy). Positive change is in the works!
