Coomer Creek Neighborhood Association

Officer Duncan, an new NPO, caught 2 young( ages 13,14) teens on the other side of 78. They seem to be responsible for a good part of our grafiti. They had pictures on their cell phones and the equipment. The police are investigating 2 more juveniles . Dallas has passed a new ordinance on grafiti tools and I have asked our council to consider this as well as discusing it at our next meeting on June 8th

I have finally had success in having the parks dept supervisors walk Coomer Park. All the earlier reports went unattended but they now have a clean up scheduled. They acted so suprised but, oh well- at last we have some action and a parks rep will be at our meeting to talk about this and the uncoming construction , park inprovements and the impact it will have during the work.

Now that is just too interesting...
I know that I called at least twice and walked in ..face to face..with kids in tow...at least two other times.
Ugh.
I will say, the phallic did get removed from the slide promptly when they were told about it...and I am grateful.
