This fun event took place on June 17, 2000 from 11am to 1pm. It was located at the Cottonwood Community Park next to the inline hockey rink. It offered fun for the whole family. Festivities included a free barbecue lunch provided by the Town of Parker and a formal dedication of the Cherry Creek Trail extension through the Norton Farms open Space. The trail was completed with funds provided by the Colorado Lottery. People who attended also got there free tee-shirts and were able to pick up information on Kwal Paints.
The event was one of the largest events in not only Cottonwood's history but in the Town of Parker's history. We even had to make a few food stops! Thanks to every one who attended the event and made it a great weekend event. If you didn't show up Cottonwood will be holding its annual picnic soon!
