Rehearing news-new title set!
The rehearing, requested by Broomfield, with the Title Board went great!!! The Title Board took the information Broomfield provided and reached a fair and reasonable Title for both the petitions and the 2000 ballot. We feel the Title Board did its job by making sure both sides of the issue were concidered and the Title was ammended accordingly!
CVELG feels that this is a victory for the Colorado Voters. Now the registered electors will have a fair assessment of the impact of Initiative 199.

Isn't this intersting: Broomfield was represented by DiCiero, Ozaki, Stovall, and the City Attorneys (Pro-Bono of course, and the city officials took the day off, of course.)

Question for BBW
I'm curious about something, I don't like to be the one to bring up the "jail' word but I'm still bugged as to why BF didn't put the jail in "their" town?? Even the Jefferson County Commisioners reccommeded that it be built closer to your courthouse just like our neighboring cities have done. I've heard its more cost effective. That may be true but the way it looks to most of us is that you put it as far from ANY BF residents as you possibly could because YOU KNEW they would oppose it. I still think it will be very interesting to see what happens when a releasee does something while on their way to the bus stop. You keep saying, oh they won't come to countryside, why not?? Its close, those homes off of Simms look nice and possibly have some "valueables" worth taking. I guess my point is, if this jail is so darn safe then whynot put it in the heart of your city so YOUR citizens can drive by and look at the pretty scenery!!

Way to go everyone!! I bet old Ozaki and DiCiero were ready to have cow right there!! I keep telling BBW that BF has picked the wrong bunch of people to mess with. We MEAN business and the people of Colorado WILL hear the truth and when it does, it will be sweet victory!!
