I sure wish you had half the brain you think you do. Please read and understand. I DID NOT say the jail is too close. I have NEVER said that. I have always contended that the selection process was designed to only take into consideration BF residents and in that vein the GWR makes the most sense. Especially if you can start construction without those being directly affected being notified. MY PREMISE is not that a county jail is bad, that's your premise. Yes BF should have notified every household in Countryside of the possible site and asked for feedback. Would have been a lot cheaper than $9 million it will now cost them.

I'm STILL waiting for a question to be answered from the last two boards. What will happen to the releasees if they do not have transportation to the nearest bus stop?? Is the BF police going to "escort" them there and wait with them until the bus arrives?? You want me to be civil BBW, I will if you start aswering MY questions and stop attacking my intelligence.

You continue to miss the point. If a jail is not bad, why should Broomfield have knocked on every door in Countryside? If a business is going to be built 11/2 miles away from you, does the city of Westminster notify you? If a supermarket is going to be built 1 mile away from you, does Westminster notify you about it? Westminster's municipal code provides that written notice of proposed developments will be sent to residents who reside within 500 feet of the proposed development.
You contradict yourself. You say jails are not bad and the jail is not too close to you, yet you think Broomfield should have knocked on every door in Country Side. Your assumption is that you will be directly affected. You will not be affected at all.
The rest of what you said is merely what you perceive. It is in no way factual.

Broomfield has never lied about anything and has never skirted the truth. If you are alleging that Broomfield officials took things out of the library, you are way off base or are paranoid. Or, you were told this by another paranoid person.
Broomfield had two public forums on the jail and a public hearing before the city council. All interested parties were welcome and had an opportunity to be heard. Some of CVELG's members dismiss these for one reason or another. Be that as it may, the Great Western Reservoir area is a good location for the jail and will not harm anyone.
