Are you aware of the fact that Broomfield citizens voted in favor of the City and County by a 62% majority. Are you aware of the fact that the recommendation for Broomfield to become a city and county came from Broomfield citizens. Are you aware of the fact that many Broomfield citizens worked for passage of the constitutional amendment. Are you aware of the fact Broomfield citizens are disgusted with CVELG and are preparing to do battle with them. Are you aware of the fact that Westminster is looking very bad in all of this. Are you aware of the fact that Westminster city council wants nothing to do with CVELG. You say your need is for honest communication between BCC and Broomfield citizens so you spend a lot of time communicating with CVELG. Apparently, you think this will help meet your stated need. What you are doing is helping to push neighbors against neighbors. You know full well that Broomfield citizens who worked for the city and county are not going to stand idly by and not take on CVELG. You are promoting a war which is convenient for you to do since you will not be a casualty. You talk about Interlocken and the Northwest Parkway. Are you aware of the fact that Boulder County, the city of Broomfield, the city of Lafayette, and the city of Louisville have entered into an intergovernmental agreement regarding the Northest Parkway and open space along the Parkway? This is more than the cheap shot you take at Interlocken. Are you aware of the fact that a Northwest Parkway Highway Authority has been established and even Weld County is a member of the Authority. You have a right to be against the Parkway. But, you are not being candid when you infer that this is just something between Broomfield and Interlocken. There are significant differences between your opinions and facts. Just like CVELG, you expouse opinions and expect everyone else to accept them as universal truths even when they are at odds with reality. You are playing the existential game of asking why to everything. In the final analysis, it does not work. You are overlooking a significant fact. The battle will not be between CVELG and the Broomfield city government. The battle will be between CVELG and Broomfield citizens - a battle that you are promoting.

When was the vote for a county? Go back, neighbor, it was for a study. Never a county; even the Enterprise acknowledged there was never a vote for a county.
Your other statements; yes, I am aware. The NWParkway Project is interesting: formed just before the rush to get the ballot; with a million dollars from Interlocken....Why didn't BF CC accept the state offer that if this issue did not pass in BF, then the state vote would not have been validated. Is there a possiblity that the public meetings would have had too many questions that the CC did not want to hear? CC was awfully anxious to keep this off the streets of BF, and rush to state...

I have a couple of questions and comments.
The 1996 vote was: shall the City of Broomfield "consider" placing a question on a statewide ballot.
Consider - and do it - I believe are two different questions. I wouldn't consider 68% an "overwhelming" result.
Who are the "citizens" that recommended the county? Who are the "citizens" who
worked for the passage of the constitutional amendment? Larry Cooper?
Bill Berens? George DeCeiro? The BF CC?

let's not confuse them with citizen residents.
Now, doing battle with the "citizens"?
CVELG is already doing that.
"Citizens" or residents are disgusted with CVELG? Citizen residents have no clue as to what is happening with the repeal action, so I would suggest that it is the "citizens" that are disgusted with CVELG. WE know that!
CVELG making Westminster look bad?
We won't take credit for that -
they do that all by themselves.
Neighbor against neighbor? War?
That battle has been going on for years, we can't take credit for that either.
Surely you are not suggesting that BF and Westy live in two part harmony?
Interlocken and Nothwest Parkway?
That is a whole other can of worms.
Time will tell that story.
CVELG's unethical behavior? I refuss
to address that rediculous statement.
Vindictive? No. Determined - yes.
If the "citizens" of BF had conducted themselves in an honorable manor during this entire county campaign and transition to a county, the CVELG would cease to exist. We would have nothing to
fight with or for. Further more, they (BF)would have nothing to worry about.
Do you think that the "citizens" of BF are worried? They shouldn't be - if they have nothing to hide.
CVELG is asking for reconsideration of Broomfield county so that the citizen residents of Broomfield and the entire state of Colorado can make a MORE in- formed vote. What is wrong with that???

Certainly, Anonymous is out in left field about what we care about.
It's one thing to debate the topic - "Is Broomfield City County REALLY the right thing to do?" - But, Anonymous, your arguments don't have any thing to do with what we're doing.

To Anonymous:
I guess we haven't put our arguments out to the public yet ... and maybe that's why some of you associate us so tightly to the jail. I can only say - that's not what we're talking about. If you don't believe that - oh well. Your disbelief certainly doesn't preclude reality.

If you are a truley honest person .... then help us answer some reasonable questions about the formation of Broomfield City/County. If everything was done properly ... then what's the harm in posing the questions?

On the other hand ... if your motivations are rooted in something disgraceful, then, by all means - shout your irrelative insults.
