Adrian's responses, in a nutshell, spoke of services citizens of Broomfield already have.
BBW's claims of tangible benefits, in our opinion, were weak claims. They are services the citizens already enjoy.
John, you must be yet another politician.
It will be up to the citizens to review the County issue and decide. Thank you for confirming your desperation in so diligently attempting to divert the truth.

Who are you? Are you a Broomfield citizen? If so, were you against the city and county? Seems like this board is a refuge for some of the opponents.
Yeah, I've read the many posts of Adrian and BBW and I think BBW nailed Adrian to the wall and Adrian is squirming. He has been caught in his fabrications. By saying there are no beneftis for citizens from the city and county, he has shown his true colors - a vendetta against Broomfield with yellow on yellow.

John, I oppose the C/C issue because of the process. I have researched a great deal about it and these people clearly do not know what is going on. There was no public hearing etc...to discuss these issues.
1. I know a great deal about BF and I support the master plan etc but I DO NOT SUPPORT THE METHOD USED BY COUNCIL TO PUSH ITEMS THROUGH!
2. I understand a lot of the issues on the pro side of the C/C and I am sympathetic to them. BF has had to deal with a lot of crap dumped on them by the other counties.
3. I can understand the ecomomics of the issues too. BF has done a great deal of work by themselves to bring in quality employment, nobody else helped them, shouldn't they reap their own rewards?
4. On the other hand I have been involved in a multitude of advisory groups where these citizens are ignored and some have been disbanded by council simply because they did not like the fact of a possible coalition or the development of a watchdog group.
5. BF keeps bringing up these issues about social services and how this will be so great. I look at the other side which was brought to light while talking with many senior citizens that are opposed to the county. BF is a small community, how would you like it if you were being treated with depression, or your family had a serious drug problem and had to be treated by a local BF social services program. Administered by the same people that see you everyday, the grocery stores, events, etc...there is no privacy.
6. I do know for a fact about a trial that occurred in a federal court pursued by BF staff and council wherein one young persons psychological problems were brought out during court proceedings, even though these problems has nothing to do with the case. BF staff manipulated and destroyed this person.
7. I know of other instances where the issue of partisian politics became an issue in a controversial matter and that persons political preferences were brought out in front of a group. This information was of course obtained by council. What a breach of privacy.
8. See, so I am not so happy about the fact that if this county thing goes down how confidential information would be handled with respect to myself or family. I have seen it and do not trust these people. If they disagree with you, they will manipulate whatever information they can find and use it against you to obtain their own ends.
These issues of privacy were never discussed during the county formation process and should have been and possibly could have been if there was a hearing. It is the method of BF govt that I oppose. I do not trust them and I have ample evidence to support that claim.

Streamlining
I just read the letter called What Is Streamlining?- By Adrian, Nov 13, 1999 in the previous section but I guess I'm supposed to reply in this one now. I just have an observation. Didn't our forefathers know that people will never be perfect and that power should never be given to a single person or group? Isn't that exactly why we have all the brances of government? I live in Broomfield and I didn't start paying attention to this stuff until a couple months ago. I'm starting to see why people around here are getting so worried. I'm not saying anything bad about politicians or anything but I'm not thrilled with the way things in Broomfield are done. I feel like I'm just supposed to shut up and be happy with what I get. So now that I find out all this other stuff about how the county idea was just whipped together without getting any input from us I'm starting to worry maybe the people who run the city shouldn?’t be getting any more power. I think I'm gonna move. I don't think I'll be much help with all the details that you guys are talking about but I'm sure gonna be watching this more.
