This sounds like a fine idea and I hope that it takes off.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a neighborhood trading page? I see we can add a page to this website, so I thought this might be a good idea. Neighborhood trading is simply giving away something you have that your neighbor might want. For instance, I have about two yards of high quality topsoil and several wheelbarrows full of limestone landscaping rock that I'd be happy to give away to anyone needing it (I could finally clean my driveway!!) My next door neighbor reduces the amount of plants in her garden every year and gives them away. You may have a an item taking up space in your basement or garage you'd love to get rid of. On a Neighborhood Trade Page we'd list what things we have to give away along with our email address and hope we get some takers! We may also list a service we provide in exchange for a service we need. An example would be: I am a portrait photographer who needs a garage door fixed. You might be a handyman who is looking for a good Mother's Day gift. We trade services and both needs are met.

Anyone think this is a good idea?
