To all the walkers in the neighborhood (of which I am one).  When you are walking please be aware that you are walking on a neighborhood street....not in a park or greenway.  There are going to be vehicles that are using the streets to get to and from their homes, or just vehicles that use our neighborhood as a cut through to get somewhere else.  When you walk, WALK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD......NOT IN THE MIDDLE.  Don't walk beside one another....walk behind in single file, and PLEASE, PLEASE, walk FACING the traffic, not with your back to it.  We have all been told that all of our lives and just because we are walking in a friendly neighborhood doesn't mean that the people driving through our neighborhood are as nice and friendly.  Also, if you are walking at night, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE wear reflective clothing/vest or wear something light colored.  DON'T walk in black shirt, black pants with black shoes.  It makes it difficult to see you even on a good star lite or moonlite night.  PLEASE continue to walk and be healthy, but PLEASE be careful and watch out for the cars......because some are not watching our for you.
