It would seem they are too busy catching hard core criminals riding dirt bikes and ATV's in the trails!  I really don't understand it.

The whole thing is starting to really freak me out,  I never, ever, ever see police in our neighborhood, unless they're in the trails or lurking behind a tree on Trinity in hopes of catching those dastardly Speed Limit Violators!  It's got me so paranoid, I swear someone has been living in my attic!  I made my husband go up and look at 2 this morning because the dogs started barking!  (Curious what is our HOA stance on all of this?  I haven't seen "your board" this quiet ever!)

Again it seems the HOA silence speaks volumes. There were posts several months ago questioning the dedication of our NPO to our neighborhood. Same problems then too, the swamps were more important. Does anybody remember last year, December of '07? I mean the week between Christmas and New Years. I think the final tally was 138 homes vandalized, still no patrols. A few cycles in the swamps and this place looked like an all night donut shop, you know what I mean. Has anybody forwarded any of these posts anywhere? Police Chief? Mayor? Newstation? I thought calls to the PD were recorded, wouldn't that be a gas to hear on the 10 o'clock news "attempted break-in, you can wait, motorcycles in bottomland, we'll mobilize the entire eastside!"

HOA was all worried about the wall looking bad on the neighborhood, what about the news coverage when a trigger happy resident shoots an innocent child because the authorities don't find our area worthy of patrolling. Starting to freak me out too.

I wish I can say I am suprised.

The silence of the HOA and the outright lies handed out by the PD are no suprise to me.

I heard NOTHING last year from the HOA regarding all the vandalism over the Christmas holiday 2007, and when I personally went out to the patrol district office and inquired about additional patrols and the vandalism they told me, to my face, they knew nothing about it and they had no reports of any vandalism in our area...TOTAL BS!

12 months have passed and I STILL hear nothing from the HOA and STILL see no patrol cars in our area.

Is it going to take one of our residents, or a theif or vandal, winding up shot to death before someone "in authority" takes notice??
