Anybody know what happened in the park Friday night?

Anybody know what happened in the park Friday night?

Someone ate a big plate of black-eyed peas , cabbage and cornbeef and washed it down with two pecan pies than decided to take the long trek to the park only to throw up  ? Oh wait that was me. Seriously not a good idea to eat alot and than jog to the park after you eat unless you like tasting your food twice.

Anywho..what else happened ?

Teenagers riding in the trails.  Man at the end of San Joaquin street by the park called the Police like he does every hour of every day.  Police chased and pulled over I believe 2 vehicles and arrested the teenagers for running - felony offense and impounded their cars.  Police helicopter out today and police lined up on Trinity blvd and by the park to chase down and arrest more teenagers / families riding in the trails....because the man at the end of the street called them again - today.  I saw the police there, speaking with the man.  Next thing you know - here comes the helicoptor and more police cars.    Whatever you do,  do not try to rationalize or speak to the man at the end of the street to ask why he finds this his personal goal to stop riders or he will pull a gun on you just like he did to my 15 year old daughter and me.  Aimed it directly at her head.  I understand it was late at night - right after the arrests of the teenagers.  No my daughter did not know the teenagers.  She was upset and wanted to ask him why he keeps calling the police with all the crime we have in our neighborhood that perhaps he could stop and let the police focus on more important matters.  As it was,  our house was one of the houses with an attempted break in.  I understand her concern.  However,  instead of a conversation,  she got a gun pointed at her head as well as I when I caught up to her at his front door.   He never lowered the gun.  My daughter rang the door bell and asked if she could have just one moment of his time and he opened the door and put the gun to her head.  When I got there he turned the gun on me and kept it on us as we turned to walk back down the street - in shock.   No,  she should not have gone there late at night.  She should not have gone there at all.  She learned a very hard lesson and thank God we are both here today.  Police came,  spoke to my daughter and also to him.  He was in the right - it is his property to protect - it was late at night.  I just wished once he saw it was a 15 year old girl and her mother,  that he would have lowered his gun instead of keeping it pointed at our heads.   IMO,  if you decide to ride in the trails,  you will get arrested.   This man is not going to stop calling the police.  Everyone in Rivertails will get this message but not the riders from all over that also come here to ride so you may want to spread the word.

It sounds like there may be a personal issue with the swamp riders and Little Napoleon on San Joaquin. After reading the other posts concerning break-ins, I still can't understand how multiple patrols, including an air unit, are all summoned because there are people out in some deserted bottomalnd.

Here's an idea: How about every morning we call about the swamps so more patrols will be in the area and they might stop the more violent crimes which have gone up? Maybe they can fine a couple of residents for trespassing or illegal parking to get some revenue at the same time.

MELISSA, HELLOOO??? Anything from your side? Any comments from the HOA?
