looking to relocate to charlotte what is the crime rate or activity in zip code 28273

Well 28273 is a fairly rural area of Charlotte but it is growing fast and there is some crime -- some places that you avoid.  If you are familiar with the area, the Arrowood/Archdale area along Nations Ford Road is where violent crime is probably most common. The police say it's because of the large Hispanic population that live in Arrowood/Archdale, they often keep their money in their homes rather than depositing it into banks, which makes them prime targets for crime.  However, nothing in this area that is worse than other areas of Charlotte according to the police.

The majority of crime in 28273 is property crime, the majority of which is committed by juveniles.

There are also new elementary schools opening this year (August), new grocery stores, health centers, etc.!  Lots of new jobs and new families. 

The cost of living is fairly low too... Where are you moving from?
