This seems like a great idea, but I don't check this site as often as my email. Do you know if the crime email alert is going to be managed by someone else? |

Cana Safety guy has worked on setting up a google group, which does allow for email (like yawns) & website retention/retrieval (like this one). We were talking of switching over to this back in the fall. Complete setup & testing has not been done. Users have several email options they may use such as receive every email, digest for (1 daily email that includes all received that day) or simply go online and look. Would not require monitoring by anyone. Looks like this may be where we are headed. David Yawn began the crime alert emails, which has been going for over 4 years. He has not decided what he will do with his list at this point. It is very time consuming. "Yawns list" has been a great asset to Colonial Acres, we cannot thank him enough for starting, overseeing & spending the time he has on it. Once again this is just interim. We must have email communication with our neighbors. Very soon, an email will go out with CANA news & updates. If you do not receive by Monday...send your name, phone, street and email address to canacodes@bellsouth.net; will make sure you are added to the CANA list. BTW....our apoligies to everyone, January meeting was last week. Tried to notify everyone, the Citywatch phone system was down & Yawns list was down. As you know, we must move forward with dependable communication with you all.
