If more parents knew where their kids were at night, we may could cut down on the teen punks vandalism issue.  The cops can't do a parents job.

Way to go sitter with gun.... I too have a gun and ready to protect my property!

WOW, that was really bold to try to break in at night when someone was home.  Makes you think they intended to hurt someone, not just take stuff.  I am very concerned about the crime going on around here.  It makes me very uneasy and more and more people are buying guns for protection.  Were they trying to get in through a door or window?

It was the front door.  We were gone for spring break but I had a house sitter at my house the whole time we were gone.  There were cars in the driveway.

If there is a COPS volunteer on my block I would like to know who it is so I could talk to them.  Better yet it would be nice to know who all the volunteers are and what streets they live on.  Why hasn't there been a drive for more volunteers?  With all the crime lately you would think there would be more volunteers coming out of the woodwork.

I know that since I was laid off from work last Friday I have been trying to keep a close eye on things in the area of San Joaquin and Thames.  It is actually quite hard to do since these houses aren't really designed for looking out.

I think that in the end those people that are home during the week, etc just have to be a little extra vigilant.
