There has been a rash of burglaries in this neighborhood recently. The person or persons are entering our homes during the daytime hours when they know we are away from home. It has been reported the individuals are driving a GMC  Denali or a Cadillac Escalade- Black in color. Please keep a look out as one of the neighbors has been hit twice in the last two weeks. My home was attempted on May 20, we need to catch this thief or thieves.

Can you tell me what street you live on, or what houses have been broken into?  I'm trying to spread the word with neighbors so we can be aware and watching, but wanted a little more information if possible.  Thank you!!!

So sorry to hear that you were in line of almost becoming a victim, glad they weren't successful!  Thank You for the information re: vehicles to look for - we will keep our eyes open.  Last weekend (Memorial Day Holiday), we were proactive in driving around during the wee hours of the morning to be the 'eyes' of the neighborhood and hopefully prevent some of these crimes.  This morning before heading to work, we noticed a young White couple seemingly to be arguing and we called the 247-0600 (our District) to report suspicious persons.  The Sheriffs came out, but we're not quite sure of the outcome.  Hadn't seen this couple before and when I shared salutations and asked how the Male was, (they began walking seperately) he answered, "Terrible!"  I wished him well, came back inside and called the above number.  We'll continue helping to be the eyes and ears of our neighborhood!

The streets involved are Oak Lake Park and Oak Lake Pointe. There are pictures posted at that corner store by the VOL corner store as well as a list of other streets listed by the Sugar Land Sherrifs Department. I contacted the HOA as did a few of the other neighbors and they were sympathetic but offered no suggestions. This person may be working with a neighborhood resident (Heaven forbid) but it is possible as they watch when residents leave home at various times.
