Nearly all of us have Smartphones. Make good use of them. Take photos of the contents of your home, then upload the photos to the cloud or download them to a thumbdrive and store them off-site in your safe deposit box. If your home burns, or you suffer water damage, you will be glad you did.

PS- you can also take a video of your home's contents and this will work as well. Just be certain to view the video and the photographs to ensure they are clear before you store them away for that really bad day.
