Frosted Brown Sugar Cookies

Frosted Brown Sugar Cookies

4 c flour
2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 butter, soft
1 c sour milk (sour 1c milk with 2T vinegar)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 c walnuts chopped

Combine all ingredients above, drop onto cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 10
minutes or until toothpick come out clean if inserted.

Frosting
6 TBSP brown sugar
3 TBSP butter
3 TBSP cold milk thickend with powdered sugar

Melt brown sugar and butter in sauce pan.
Add the cold milk thickened with powdered sugar.

Cool and frost as soon as cookies are removed from oven.

Brown Sugar Cookies

1 c butter
1 # brown sugar
2 egs
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 c chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar
Add eggs and vanilla
Sift flour and baking soda
Form doug into log like rolls
Chill until frozen (easier to slice)
Slice

Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or unti toothpick inserted in center comes
out clean.

Cherry Puff Cookies

Cherry Puff Cookies (very light almost like a tea cookie)

1 c and 2 TBSP nutter
1 c and t TBSP powdered sugar
3 egg yolks
2 tsp vanilla
3 c flour
1/2 to 3/4 c coursely chopped nuts
1/2 to 3/4 c mariscino cherries cut into 8ths (or chopped in a food
processor)

Combine all ingredients
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes

Texas Sheet Cake

1 c butter
1/4 c cocoa
1 c water

Boil above ingredients and set aside in large bowl

1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 c buttermilk or 1/2 cup sourcream
2 c flour
2 c sugar

Combine above ingredients with boiled mixter in large bowl. Stir well.

Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes
Should be placed in a large shallow baking dish for best results.

Frosting

3 TBSP milk
3 TBSP cocoa
1/4 c butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Pour into bowl over 2 c powdered sugar

Mix ingredients and frost the HOT cake.

Options: use 2 eggs
add 1/2 c pecans chopped
