This is Moe. Just an update, after last nights meeting, to let everyone know the Board is going to form a committee to interview management companies. They said they just wanted to see what their available options are. GOOD IDEA, THAT SOUNDS GREAT! I feel this practice should be done every time a contract is due for expiration/renewal.
I know many members, myself included, who personally don't like Cherly Baca, but let's not allow our dislike of her to create a situation where we simply jump out of the frying pan and into the FIRE! I know from 7 years of personal experience with the HOA Management Company industry, that price isn't the bottom line. Many facets of community management exist and it is invaluable to have a manager that is ready, willing and ABLE to perform the tasks required.
In order to accomplish these goals they require traing, tools and further education to keep up with the ever increasing demands put on homeowners associations every legislative session. I truly feel that having the right manager is crucial to helping our community get back on it's feet. I have volunteered to be on the review committee and hopefully the Board will accept me because I truly feel that I can be helpful in the interview process, having met with and worked with hundreds of property management companies all across america!
