     A 2 year renewal contract with Community Management and Sales was signed by the Board of Directors on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the Community Management and Sales office without first obtaining ANY other bids or doing ANY cost analysis before making their decision.

 

     Our community was, until the above mentioned meeting, on a month to month basis with our current community management company.  This would have allowed us, for the first time in years, to get bids from other companies and consider other options.  Despite repeated requests to perform further due diligence and to postpone making this major decision until the membership could have the opportunity to contribute their opinion on this matter, that will affect our community for the next 2 years, they signed the contract.

 

     The meeting was not on its regularly scheduled time interval nor was it held at the tradtional location.  You may have missed the notice all together due to the fact that it was included with a Candidate Nominee Form/Candidate Disclosure Statement and/or misunderstood it to be a meeting related to the upcoming election.  It was not posted in the Newsletter as usual.

 

     We would like you to know that many of us are not satisfied with our current Board of Directors or our current Community Manager and would like to see things change.  If you are one of those people and/or just don't agree with the way this decision was made, please post your opinion on this discussion or contact us at the following for more information:

     A recording of the meeting is available, upon request, if you would like to have the opportunity to hear how the Board of Directors feel about our Management Company and what they think of you.  We can also provide you with information about how to file a formal complaint, with the Office of the Ombudsman, about this or any other issue you may have with our Board of Directors or our Community Management Company.

 

We have a voice, but if we don't use it...We won't be heard!
