Greetings! We're the Fuentes family. We are two adults and a 5 and a half year old boy. A new baby is expected in May. We just moved in this November on Downshire. We've only met our most immediate neighbors and would love the opportunity to meet others. Please drop by for a visit. Question: what public pool does this neighborhood generally use? Is there one at Alamo Heights High that holds excercise classes for the public? We'd appreciate any info you might share on this topic and we look forward to getting to know you. The Fuentes Family

The nearest pool that I know of would have been the one that used to belong to the Jewish community center on Rampart...which now belongs to a school district..and I don't know what their plans are for the pool...The Pool in Alamo Heights is a private pool and you have to buy a membership...which I think is quiet high...The Alamo Heights High School does have an indoor pool...my kids took swimming lessons there....so I am sure they must have some sort of program there... Welcome to the neighborhood....we have lived here for over 7 years and we love this area... :o)

Thanks for your info regarding the pool. I would love to find some adult exercise classes being offered there. I'll call the school and write you back to let you know, if you're interested. I know Blossom Pool has classes, but Alamo Heights would certainly be closer.Lisa.
