Mailboxes

Posted in: River Trails
you would THINK with the mailboxes the way they are, the postal carrier could at LEAST put the correct mail in the correct box.  I cant tell you how many times I get mail that belongs to people that do not even live on my street!  I'm sick of delivering mail to people because it was delivered to my house instead of theirs!  And I wonder, how many pieces of mail am I NOT receiving because it was delivered to someone else and that person isnt kind enough to return it to me?  Drives me crazy!

I know what you mean! You wouldn't think it would be that difficult. Thank goodness I have a great neighbor who brings me my mail when it gets put in her box. You can always drop it back in the outgoing box for redelivery, it is quicker if you are kind enough to deliver it yourself.

I'm fat and need excercise.  If you could see all of the mail fraud that I see and hear about, you would have a greater appreciation for community mailboxes and walk a mile to get there.

My professional career is in retirement industry. I deal personally with fraud against retirees regularly.  A majority of the time it begins with mail fraud and the remainder is phone and unfortunently family members.

Appreciate your personal mail lock box without the hassle of picking your mail up from a post office.  Walk the extra mile for health and idenity security reason.  It's worth it.

when i worked in another texas city, the post office required all new developments to have community mailboxes. it saves their time and therefore, our money. seems like a good idea to me - i like to keep the stamp costs as low as i can. :) how far do people really have to walk? our box is not in front of our house, but is really close by. maybe other streets are set up differently.
