Fountains in the Lakes

expert opinions

The expert opinions probably took lake size and depth into consideration. I would think that your observation of how well a fountain aerates a pond HALF the size of our lake is not relevant to our lake. I tend to go with expert opinions.
I totally agree

I completely agree. No more fountains! The existing fountain is crooked most of the time and looks just horrible, and cheap. I was afraid this would happen--do we pay a bill each time someone has to swim or boat out there to straighten it out? I understand there was a decision to remove the ''side sprays'' so that the one center spray would go higher up and be seen from the street, but now it REALLY does look like a ''garden hose with lights,'' especially when it is crooked. The smaller pond is so much more pleasant and natural, the way it should be. Those ponds do not LOOK like they are man-made, and they did not need a fountain to pretty them up. We are not on Melrose Place. Let's keep it that way, and save ourselves some money.

Me too

We live on Glade Forest - the house with the deck on the second floor that overlooks the smaller pond. We paid a lot for this view, and I do not want to see it's natural beauty spoiled by a fountain. I personally dislike the current fountain intensely. Please don't add another one.

Turn off the first, no second

I would like to see the first fountain turned off, and no second fountain. I can't believe we are paying to have the current fountain working the way it is. I was against a fountain to begin with, but the fountain now just looks broken. I would like to just turn it off. Thank you.
