Fountain? Garden hose w/ lights!

I like the fountain\

I like the sight and sound of the fountain. The landscape committee has requested a replacement valve that would give a taller plume to give it more visibility.

The fountain has my support because I, too, am interested in what is best for our property values. At this point, I don't see that the fountain is a detraction.

In my mind, a more appropriate concern might be the waste left behind by people who take their dogs down to the ponds but don't clean up behind them. It should be obvious to everyone that taking dogs to the common areas could become a health, safety, and property-value issue.

The Enclave is full of small natural wonders not found in many communities, the ponds being one of them, the migrating wildlife another. To steward these responsibly requires that we all behave as responsibly toward our environment and one another as possible.

Keeping Our Common Areas Clean

As someone who takes my dog down to the ponds and DOES clean up behind him (as do a lot of other dog-walkers that I see), may I request that the landscape committee or board consider investing in a permanent trash can or two to place around the ponds? I wouldn't think that it would be that expensive to install and could be emptied by our landscaping company. I also try to pick up trash that I see lying around the ponds while I am on my dog walks, and it would be helpful if I didn't have to carry it around with me until I got home. Does this appeal to anyone else?
Great Idea!

I've wondered about putting in trash cans myself. I've noticed that Highland Park not only provides plenty of trash receptacles for dog walkers in their parks but also provides bags for dog waste disposal. I'll pass the suggestion along to the Landscape Committee.
