Slow down....Please!

Posted in: Country Forest-Jackson Meadows
The next time you drive down Chimney Hill or any of our neighborhood streets look down at the speedometer and see just how fast you are going.

There is an increasing number of families with young children moving into this neighborhood and we would love to see them grow up here. It would be a tragedy beyond measure if you killed one of them because you were driving too fast.

Please, from one neighbor to another, slow down and enjoy this beautiful neighborhood.

Re: Slow Down

I agree. I have a question. Why are there not road humps on Chimney Hill? I understand that main thoroughfares do not have them, but the reason Chimney Hill has so much traffic is because people cut through the neighborhood to avoid the Skillman/LBJ intersection mess.

Better yet, our neighborhood could form its own town and we could hire one cop to give out speeding tickets. Think of the revenue that would generate!
Observe STOP signs too!

I agree with your comments regarding driving slower on neighborhood streets.

I'd like to add PLEASE MAKE A FULL STOP AT ALL STOP SIGNS!

I see too many people only slowing down when they come to a stop sign. They hardly even take the time to look both ways to make sure it's safe before driving on.

I've seen this many times at the intersection of Chimneyhill Lane and Cross Creek Drive.

Because of the fire station

I asked the same question at a homeowner's association meeting a year ago. We can't have speed bumps cuz the fire trucks use Chimney Hill as a main route.

My follow-up question is: Why not the other streets in the neighborhood? I think Wharton gets second place for being used as a raceway. Very dangerous.
