I have noticed an increasing tendency to use the public streets for a permanent solution to neighbor's parking needs even thought every home has at least a 2-car garage and a driveway (which is usually empty). This poses a variety of undesirable conditions: it makes the neighborhood not look good; it poses a threat for animals and children crossing on in the streets; it makes two-way traffic very difficult and it could be a deterrent to public service vehicles in an emergency. Is there nothing that can be done to encourage people to store their vehicles where they were intended...in their own garages and on their own property?
