My fence needs replacing. I don't see the need for ''permission'' for that!

Also, what are materials that are approved for fencing? BESIDES wood? Wood looks like crap fairly quickly, and too expensive to replace all of the time.

Does one even need to have a fence?

From what I understand wood is what is accepted unless you back up to the greenbelt and than you can have iron. I think the "permission" part deals with height also.

 

The Reorganization of the VCN HOA Board has come together now and the covenants are the guidelines for each homeowner in what is and what is not acceptable for the decor of the landscape of the home. Fencing is required to have a City Permit too, and if the fence is going to be changed from its original style of installation such as height or other factors, then at least a review of the plans should be allowed by the Board.

Now that we're getting back to some form or organization, our web site is going to be kept more up-to-date and a News Letter will be out each month after the monthly Board meeting to let the homeowners know what actions and business are being handled by the Board each month. The current list of Board Members is now updated on the first pages on this web site. We welcome your input and ask that you let us know what concerns there may be. Please be courteous to these volunteers as they are not paid and they are homeowners too. The Board is elected to help operate and manage the Association. We look forward to working with each and everyone.
