First, does anyone else have trouble getting around all the cars in front of the house on the corner of Tyne and Perdido? And on several occasions there will be a car parked directly in front of the stop sign. At about 5:30 or 6pm yesterday there was one 2 feet from the post. This isn't the first time several cars have been blocking that stop sign over the past few years. One morning I pulled up behind one thinking it was a car waiting for a chance to go.
Second, there are always several cars parked in front of that house with none in the driveway. I've almost had a head-on collision several times because I can't see around them.
And third, lately I have almost run over people and children that are standing in the street on that corner. Its 5:30pm and there are people standing in the street talking where its already congested with parked cars and afternoon traffic. Someone could get hurt.
Parked cars at Tyne and Perdido?

That intersection is a constant problem and it is just a matter of time before a child is hit by a car there. There are always a lot of cars parked in and around the intersection. |

And still they park all over the place. There has been the same grey car parked in front of the stop sign for days now. AND what is it with everyone from that house walking in the street all the time? There was a woman Friday evening walking up and down the street side of the cars (in traffic) talking on her cell phone. Another car and myself were trying to pass one another and could not because this woman refused to move. We were forced to wait until she decided to get out of the way. Then to top it off she stared us down like it was our fault we were driving in her walking space... in the street. |

We do have a state full of dangerous, road-raged drivers! Just this week, Texas ranked #2 just below New York and I believe it!! I would have thought Texas was #1 ~ SLOW DOWN PEOPLE!! Seems everyone is in a rush to get no where! Be courteous....geeezzzz! I know it is very difficult for some folks....just breath!!! I'll see you driving like a maniac and then pull up to you at the next stop light. Happens all the time and it's ridiculous! Slow down before you kill someone! It's really easy folks! |
