Hello Everyone:
I thought I would warn all of you that on Sunday, March 20th our home was robbed while I was at church and my husband at work. The intruders kicked in the man door by the garage and entered our house. If anyone happened to see anything unusual, pleae let the Helena Police know. There have been several break-ins in the Pelhan/Helena/Alabaster area recently and they think they might be connected.
Please be aware of your neighborhood and if anything looks unusual, please call the police immediately. It is better to be safe than sorry. Also, I would suggest that you go through your house and make sure that you have serial numbers of all items that have numbers, pictures, descriptions, etc. An easy way to help with that is to photograph/film each room with contents. It will at least jog your memory should a break-in occur.
I am working with the police and Mayor Penhale and am sure that they are doing all possible to catch the intruders and hopefully return some of my personal property.
I hope this is notice is taken seriously. I've lived in DD for over 15 years and never had a problem until now. You just never know when things like this can happen. Please get to know your neighbors and start observing your surroundings. You could help someone avoid this horror.
