Neighborhood Security

I feel it is time to install ''hidden'' survelance equipment because of vandalism. This measure will only enhance out Neighborhood and discourage undesireable activity. Electronic speed traps on Jaymar and other problem streets would help. I am willing to pay more property tax to support this because it will only increase the value of our homes and neighborhood!

This is an option we want to consider with the new signs and the recent vandalism. When the Service Corporation holds it's next meeting, this item should be brought up and added to the budget for next year. In the meantime, when residents witness vandalism, call the non emergency number and report it. The more calls we get, the more police presence we'll see.

Hey Sandy I agree with you on all you comments, what we can do about it is another. You do have to call the police and report every time you witness speeding. It only helps the overall police coverage here in Salem Woods. When we don't call they don't feel there is a problem.
But the bigger problem is phase 1 your phase voted to not join the service corp.which makes it very hard for us to help you in this matter. The county will never help you because if they do it for us they will have to do it for every other development in NEW CASTLE COUNTY. And your fellow residents will not vote to increase there taxes. Thats been proven with the recent School district drubbing.

survelance

I have looked into a system that would provide the type of survelance we would need and althought it will be a little difficult to install it can be done and I didn't think the cost was all that much. I hope to have a presentation set for one of our upcoming meetings.
