I agree with you. There is no reason that people should be ''hanging-out'' and playing basketball in the streets. There are 2 basketball courts (4 hoops) at Doc Levinson Park which is a part of Middletown Village. I will need to check the deed-restrictions to see if ''portable'' baketball hoops are allowed or not in Middletown Village. Right now all Deed-Restrictions are enforced by the Middletown Village Maintance Corp. which is run by the developer, Mr. Ramunno.
The next Civic Association meeting is on Monday, January 10th at 7:00 PM. It is held at the New Castle County Police Southern Patrol HQ on Broad Street (Rt. 71) in Middletown. This is located across from the shopping center with Sears and Grotto Pizza. I will discuss this with the board and try to have it added to the agenda. Please come to discuss this topic with your neighbors.
