As everyone knows, you can't please everyone. Someone will feel left out or feel unrepresented on their beleifs. Those of you that remain on the board have the privilage to practice your politicial skills and deal with eighty-something different views with the goal of doing what is best for the neighborhood. I see how this board is doing a great job, we are getting information on what is going on and what the board is planning. This forum is working regardless of quality of input or signatures because it is open and unbasis. It can be anonymous so repercussions dont fall on weaker individuals but their ideas and voices are still deserving to be heard. That is what makes us a democracy and very worth fighting for.

To the board members: Keep up the good work, dont let a few slings of mud tarnish your name.

To my fellow neighbors: Ask not what your association has done for you, ask what you can do for your association.

To throw in my military experience here; its been handed down from the generations of men and women that gave unselfishly of themselves so that we could live in a neighbor hood like this, in a Country like no other.

Lead, Follow or Get out the way.
getting along

I totally agree with you! Everyone does have a right to be heard and a right to their opinion. However, if you have enough nerve to come on a public forum and complain about what's not being done to YOUR personal benefit, slander a VOLUNTEER board that is trying to HELP us, and make juvenile comments (''two down, three to go'')-- you should sign your name. Afterall, audubontraceowner can APPARENTLY do the job better and we should all know who he is so we can make sure to cast our vote for him next year!

I don't blame Colby for deciding not to come on here anymore and commenting on the topics. It seems everytime he makes an informative post, he gets bashed time and time again by the same individual who obviously has some personal anger issues with the board. It's getting ridiculous, and it's obvious no one supports his ridiculous views on this forum.

Hit the nail on the head

That statement is exactly right...''The same individual who obviously has some personal anger issues with the board''. It isn't a personal attack on Colby but its a slanderous attack on the Committee itself.

I've been living here for 3 yrs now and have heard a lot of complaints about the committee's (both of them) which is represented by a small minority opinion of be-grudged neighbors that did not want an association to begin with and were happy leaving everything to Ms Duke.

The be-grudged individual(s) is in my opinion, ill informed on his/her obligations and rights involving the association/committee. Any time ignorance is applied the resistance goes up. Education supplied with information is essential and vital for any governing committee to survive.

Board members (Past and Present) have done great jobs by providing restrictions and by-laws to all neighbors as well as on this site. Colby himself has answered multiple questions and concerns, which helps educate all of us that use this forum. I hope he continues to use this tool and would like to see others answer questions and/or leave comments. Do not get side tracked because of one anonymous horse that won?’t drink the water.

Keep up the good work Colby.
You and Dwight got my vote again next year.
