Traffic noise

What are your thoughts concerning all the traffic noise (primarily from motorcycles) in our neighborhood?

Dialog opened with Larimer Sq.

With the help of Councilwoman Debbie Ortega, the Larimer Square Group, Capt. Lamb, DPD District 8, PW Parking, possible solutions to the traffic/noise on Larimer Square are being worked on. DDRO is optimistic a good resolution will be agreed to, and shortly.

Motorcycle noise is the WORST!

I agree. Construction noise is inevitable, and routine traffic noise is acceptable when one lives in the city. The totally unnecessary loud, sharp, obnoxious sound of rude motorcycle people gunning their engines is horrible. I would LOVE to see one get a noise ordinance ticket. It would be interesting to see how many tickets HAVE been given for this infraction.

Motorcycle Noise Reply

Capt. Lamb, District 6, Denver Police Dept. is aware of our objections to the revving motorcycles around our neighborhood. Decibel recorders have been used to identify riders when possible, tickets given, etc. To get an update, I'm sure Capt. Lamb or Lt. Judith Will at 303/839-2100, would be happy to give you the latest information. We are working on it!
