It is also in the rules to take down your christmas lights, etc., and a few homeowner's again think they are above the rest of the community. This is very tacky. Doesn't the covenant committee monitor this or the HOA and send violation letters? It seems if you are too lazy to take these things down, you should not put them up to begin with.

Christmas in June
I agree that something needs to be done about these lights and clips. Whenever I pass that house I feel like singing a chorus of Jingle Bells! I will e-mail the HOA and see if anything can be done. They should not get away with this. Guidelines need to be followed.

This is a problem that we have in many communities - not that this fact makes it any easier to tolerate! I'm sure hat the HOA will respond if a complaint letter, or fax, is received.

Not just one jingle...
You could go caroling around the entire neighborhood if you looked more closely. My family goes for frequent walks around what used to be our lovely community. It is amazing what people leave up, store on their lots and do otherwise that is just simply disrespectful to their neighbors.
