Supporting SEAQOL

The Aurora City Council members are a strange breed.
I think our donation of $500 to SEAQOL could have been put to better use,
like landscaping and painting fences.
I don't believe in raising homeowners dues, then donating our money to outside organizations.
RE: SEAQOL

The Board's decision to help fund SEAQOL's effort stems directly from the homeowner survey we took last fall.

Of the twenty-one homeowner survey responses we recieved, only one felt that we should do nothing about Pioneer Hills. The rest of the comments ranged from ''stop it at all costs'' to ''try to stop the 24-hour operations proposed for Pioneer Hills.'' These mirror SEAQOL's goals, so we decided to contribute.

The rationale for contributing to SEAQOL was that there's strength in numbers.

Please remember that the Board's decision was based on the comments received by the vast majority of our homeowners. We did not do this without first consulting the homeowners.
