10/3/99 Broomfield Problem

OK, OK .... =-)

Hi BrAnon,
I certainly have my moods, don't I. Actually, before I wrote that post, I was thinking about BCs comment about why don't we try to attack something more achievable (or whatever he/she said). I was thinking about that being a pretty good point ... that it will be very hard for us to win this since the corruption seems to be approved by everyone up to Gov. Owens.

And then that's what got me really mad. That's the whole point of us doing this. It is WRONG for them to be able to lie to the public, to lie in House and Senate meetings, to Lie in Legislative Council meetings or to the Secretary of state. It's wrong for the Governor to not be aware of these issues. It's WRONG.

So, anyway, I wrote that post being a little facetious ... or sarcastic, maybe. It's like CP said, for every reason to stop, there are a hundred to go ahead.

Thanks for your support !!!!!

Whoops

Now I went and did it. Yea - that was mine. I guess we all know each other's writing style so well we don't even need to sign them any more - huh?

Everyone deserves their moments!! I have them all the time; and then do a reality check. I am glad you are OK.

I have been thinking hard to come up with a commonnality between NG and BF.
In one of your previous postings you mentioned Westy's aggressive in moving a King Soopers across the street with incentives; and depriving a small community of the basis of its income. In BF, Westy offered strong incentives to Albertsons to move out of BF to their side of 120. In both cases; citizens were neither advised or consulted; but were informed of the negotiations after they were completed. Hopefully, the measure this group has created will serve to broaden citizen needs of planned government actions; during the process; not when the process is over.

You did play a role in BF county; regardless of how you voted. For it was the BFCC ASSUMPTION that the advisory question could be used as a vote for a county. This was never referred to as an advisory question at the State Assembly; it was referred to as a county vote. The first group deceived. The second group deceived: the voters of the State of Colorado. And, as this deception spread, it got bigger and bigger and bigger. Why, because the representatives of the State Assembly never questioned the integrity of the presentors. And, because there was a lack of public knowledge about what was happening; no one was present to tell the truth; it was an advisory question.
