I think that we have all gotten a little
out of control, including myself.
Like I have said before, I think we need to agree to disagree. The personal digs at each other are not doing any of us any good.

A Book I Remember

BBW, thinking about our exchange on elected/appointed positions reminded me of a book a read a few years ago. It's not strictly related but is one of those "train of thought" type associations.

I remember some convincing logic for believing not all aspects of government are appropriately controlled by popular vote.... something along those lines.

Has any one at this board read "Creating a New Civilaization" by Alvin and Hedi Tofler? (You all remember Alvin Tofler - he wrote "Third Wave". (Required reading in my High School - but a good book anyway.)

It's just a little book and real easy to read. I'm going to see if I can find it at B&N today and re-read it. There are some things in it about the best forms of government in the 3rd and 4th waves of civiliztion (his philosopy). I think Newt Gengrich endorsed or had input to the book (?). I'd love to converse about that book with anyone who's read it.
