to Joan & all BF residents

I am very interested in your mention of intimidation by BFCC of BF residents.

I have heard similar stories, whereby BF residents are investigated, harassed, and shamed publicly.

I have heard of phone calls placed to employers questioning an employees personal activites. The calls originate from the Broomfield police dept.

So many BF residents are deeply fearful of speaking out against their government. Appalling!

It would be of tremendous value to collect these stories and present them to higher authorities.

One of the dangers of the Broomfield city government, with the current brokers in power, is them gaining increased power with county status and having Millions of dollars behind them from Interlocken.

For Broomfield residents who want to fight, trust that CVELG members will keep your identity highly confidential. There is an ever growing underground of Broomfield residents working together to stop these runaway politicians.

But, back to my question to Joan: do you know of other stories of ruin?

Thank you

Here's an answer for you, not that you care to hear it:

Cities often get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to funding and services. They must beg the county to part with federal or state funds provided to them to dole out. Broomfield got different amounts and different levels of service from Adams, Jefferson, and Boulder counties -- often short shrift in each since it was not identified with any of them like the cities of Brighton, Northglenn, Thornton and Commerce City are identified as Adams County cities; Boulder, Louisville and Lafayette as Boulder County cities; and Westminster, Arvada, and Golden as Jefferson County cities. Broomfield was often treated as the "red-headed stepchild" of each of these counties. In addition, Broomfield was divided between Adams County and Boulder County, primarily, with sometimes vastly different levels of service and funding received by each. Now Broomfield can control its own destiny and treat all of its citizens better than any county government ever did. Yes, it will cost a lot of money to put the infrastructure in place, but if your taxes aren't going up, what do you care? You should feel proud to live in Broomfield. If you don't like it, move.

I Think I Can Help, CCACCCCCC

I don't recall when you came on board, CCACCCCCCCC, but I KNOW what happened in Broomfield, and I'll tell you.
You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, the BFCC are only out to make themselves more powerful. Why? Because they are NOT HUMAN. Check this site out and you'll see when their humanity was lost. http://www.nacomm.org/sighting/1998/9806co.htm
Soon after this 1998 siting, Broomfield became a county, and the Police started investigating CRIMES by calling people and ASKING QUESTIONS. The HORROR!
You see, CCACCCACACC, BFCC wants to TAKE OVER THE CITY AND ALL OF ITS RESIDENTS!
How? By becoming a COUNTY! Why?! Because everyone knows how POWERFUL Counties are -- look at La Junta if you dare -- and how FILTHY RICH the Commissioners are -- they make more money than an RTD BUS DRIVER!!!! -- and how they ENSLAVE the poor citizens who cannot move away because their houses are too valuable to leave. WATCH as they build a PARKWAY to relieve TRAFFIC CONGESTION caused by growth that is already here! SEE them steamline government with their alien powers of efficiency! GAPE as they keep your TAX DOLLARS in Broomfield! YOU CAN'T STOP THEM!!!! WE'RE ALL GOING TO PROSPER!!!! AAAAGH!

ah, the Alien theory

Cute Oliver.

It is interesting how the nasty BBW(s) go away and you and 'John' show up.

You all try the same worn out tactic. Belittle the people raising questions.

The fact remains there are BF residents who only exercise their constitutional right (that's the United State of America constitution, in case you were confused) by speaking their opinion, which conflicts with BFCC's agenda, and they are investigated and harassed.

A few have dared to share their stories. There must be more.

You city officials are so cocky. You think you are untouchable. You are sadly mistaken.
