To John
Gee, Linda, you get your own page!! Long council meeting last night; is that why we did not hear from you?
Here are the questions!!
First: When did the Council vote to proceed with the ballot question to make BF a county; as noted before instructions were given during the city manager's notes to prepare a question; but when did the council vote for a county. We know the citizens of BF never voted before this went to the state assembly.
2. Why did CBLG open with $11,665 in account without identifying the donor? As a political group; wy the absolute need to hide the resource? Was this city money or city money filtered through a city supported entity?
3. Public participation in Council Meetings: (just in case you have forgotten):
A. Citizen's comments: "under this section of the meeting citizens of BF have an opportunity to comment on items not on the printed agenda. This is the time for residents to ask about something involving the city, or to request the City Council to consider making or changing a policy (there is a 3 minute time limit)"
B. City Manager's Report: City Manager reports on any administrative items which the City Council may need information on.
Question: Since decisions about proceeding with the county ballot AND George DiCero's intent to act as a private citizen were under City Manager's report: were these ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS which the council may need information on?
4. Why the HIRED LOBBYSISTS AT STATE ASSEMBLY? Did taxpayer's money pay for the hired lobbyists? Who hired them and how were they payed? With your favorite 62% majority; where were all the citizens working for CBLG? We all know this political activist group was formed and chaired by Council Members; and, surely, there were enough council relatives that could have played the role of "concerned citizen".
5. Why, in publications to the voters, not print the ballot in its entirety:
QUESITON 2A: AN ADVISORY QUESTION--SHALL THE CITY OF BROOMFIELD CONSIDER PLACING A QUESTION ON THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT THAT WOULD AMEND THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CREATION OF A CITY AND COUNTY?
Why was the word "CONSIDER" changed to "PURSUE".--too big to be considered a typo. This is obviously intention to hide the true question of the ballot.
6. Your statements that Interlocken is not involved in the NWP and formation of the county. Interlocken wanted to work with one county; and gain a direct route to DIA. Please explain to me how a city buys votes ona board; and who pays the outrageous price for these votes ($100,000 each; BF owns 10 votes). Again, are we looking at taxpayer's monies being misused; or is Interlocken now over 2 million dollars in donations to pay for a study and votes to the NWP development. This is contrary to what Berens said; there would be equity in votes among the municipalities and counties involved. Why buy so many votes; is BF afraid of losing? Who truly benefits besides Interlocken and Interlocken two; citizens will pay over $1500 a year to drive to and from work; so citizens do not benefit.
Interlocken's worth will be over 1 billion dollars; you yourself stated taht Citizen property assessments will decrease as commercial property increases.
Failure to answer any one or all of these questions tells me that CVELG has accomplished its purpose: The government of BF is corrupt.
